Ip Man (葉問) (October 1, 1893 – December 2, 1972) is known as the legendary Grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu. His life and adventures have been dramatized in a series of popular movies where he was portrayed by film star Donny Yen. Ip Man began teaching Wing Chun in Hong Kong in 1950, and had many students who became Kung Fu masters in their own right, and spread his art around the world.

Moy Yat (梅逸) (June 28, 1938 – January 23, 2001) was a teacher of the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu. He began teaching in Hong Kong, in 1962, at the direction of Grandmaster Ip Man. After Ip Man's death, Moy Yat moved to New York City and began teaching there until he retired from teaching at age 60. According to Inside Kung-Fu Magazine, he was "considered among the greatest martial arts teachers of all time."

Bruce Lee (李小龍; born Lee Jun-fan, 李振藩) (November 27, 1940 – July 20, 1973) is best known as the founder (Sijo) of Jeet Kune Do, and the star of classic Hong Kong Kung Fu movies, such as Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon. Bruce Lee is often considered to be the most influential martial artist of all time. Time magazine has named Bruce Lee as one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century.
